My Utilities' World

30+ years in the Utilities World is a long time!    Over the years my experiences have been rich and varied.   With ScottishPower, I undertook some particularly demanding business roles.  I managed the adrenaline-charged customer service for their 3 million customers,  I set up and managed their newly formed Connections Business and I spent £250 million per year when I was Group Head of their Capital Delivery Programme.

Some people comment that Utilities are dull and boring.  Actually being involved in the Utilities' World is exciting - it is ever-challenging and changing.   This is mainly because it is driven-on by political and customer opinion in the form of a Regulator who sets the tone and pace of the industry.

I have always enjoyed working in Field Operations and Project Management.   There is camaraderie in these areas that you will not find anywhere else - there is always a story to tell!  Working with Sigma Seven allows me to continue to indulge my passion.  It is not by chance that most of the content on my website has a heavy Sigma Seven slant to it.  Sigma Seven's approach is refreshingly different from the mainstream as their ever-increasing customer community will testify.
